Enhanced Display Control: Use the display_only_on_tax_ids parameter to restrict popular post displays to specific taxonomy terms and customise where you show admin columns with the "Display columns on post types" setting.
Dashboard Visibility: Control who can see the Top 10 dashboard with the new "Also show dashboard to" setting, which lets you specify user roles.
Category-Specific Popular Posts: A new option in the Edit Post meta box allows you to include popular posts from specific categories only, mapped to the include_cat_ids parameter.

WP_Query Compatibility: Direct support for WP_Query when top_ten_query is used in query arguments, making it easier to customise queries.
Optimised Media Handling: Improved media handler to reduce queries and support for new image attributes like decoding, loading, and fetchpriority.
