Hi Reader ๐,
TLDR: New plugin, WebberZone Image Optimizer, converts your media library to WebP and AVIF without an account. Contextual Related Posts and Top 10 both have native Elementor, Bricks, and WPBakery elements. Better Search queries are a lot faster. Link Warnings now warns before downloads. Followed Posts had its final release, so export your data before you remove it. Auto Close, Knowledge Base, Code Block Highlighting and Snippetz all had updates too.
WebberZone Image Optimizer
New on 25 August, v1.1.0 today. Most image optimization plugins ask for an account, an API key or a monthly allowance. Image Optimizer converts your media library to WebP and AVIF on the same server that already resizes every upload, with no outbound requests. Images are typically 30 to 50% smaller, originals are never modified, and output goes through a element so a cache cannot hand the wrong format to the wrong browser.
v1.1.0 is mostly about what AVIF costs. Encoder effort now maps onto each encoder's own speed scale, cutting conversion time roughly thirtyfold on ImageMagick servers for a few percent of file size.

CRP v4.4.1, Top 10 v4.5. Both plugins ship native Pro elements for Elementor, Bricks Builder and WPBakery, carrying the full set of options. They are experimental, so bug reports are welcome.
CRP adds a Features tab to switch off components you don't use. Top 10 adds optional site-wide tracking, a Reduce Daily Table Size tool and a wp top10 db rollup command, and fixes view tracking being lost on back-button restores while prefetches and bot views were counted as real ones.

Better Search v4.4.1 to v4.4.4
Complex searches were spending more time joining tables than finding posts. Meta, taxonomy and comment joins are now EXISTS subqueries. On my test data, meta searches ran around 81% faster and multi-field searches around 95% faster, returning identical results. Plain title and content searches barely moved, because they already used the index. Negative searches were also broken and are now fixed.

Link Warnings v1.6
Warnings now cover downloads, matched on the file extension at the end of the URL. A new External Content section processes widgets, navigation menus, comments and block theme template parts on the server, all enabled after you update. Protocol-relative links such as //example.com/page were treated as internal and skipped the warning entirely.

Followed Posts v3.4, the last one
Released 8 September. This is the final release, so you can leave cleanly. Tools ยป Followed Posts Tools exports your complete tracking data to CSV, and adds a danger zone to delete that data or remove every trace of the plugin in one step. If you still run it, export anything you want to keep before you remove it.

- Auto Close v3.2 adds per-post-type ages, an approved-comment threshold, a preview of what a run would affect, and WP-CLI commands. Revision cleanup now respects each post's retention limit and a 90-day cutoff instead of deleting everything, and close dates run on one hourly sweep rather than a cron event per post. Read โโ
- Knowledge Base v3.1.2 to v3.1.4 clear a fatal error when Pro activates on older settings, make Pro GitHub exports resumable, and stop documented shortcodes being written back as live ones.
- Code Block Highlighting v1.2.0 to v1.2.2 add file name tabs and a Download button, and make server-side highlighting faster, with very large blocks falling back to plain text. Read โโ
